Greatfields School: Structure + PC Concrete floors = robust school building

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham required a new build primary to secondary all-through school for a new urban development in Barking. Part of a three-phase development, a pre-requisite design standard for Zone 1 of the school was the need for the building to include pre-cast concrete floors to successfully meet sustainability requirements for excellent acoustic performance, building robustness and thermal mass.
