The wellbeing of our people, those of our customers, partners and suppliers is our highest priority. Like every other organisation we are striving to do everything we possibly can to support the Governments strategy to eradicate this virus.
Following the Government announcement on 23rd March 2020 we continue to work closely with the Government via the Construction Leadership Council and our Professional Bodies in relation to continuing our operations on site and in our manufacturing facility.
Cabinet Minister Michael Gove confirmed that all major construction work should go ahead. At this time, we are continuing to follow Mr Gove’s and Mr Hancock’s advice that key workers employed in construction should continue to work. We are monitoring the situation daily and will amend our activities according to any new Government advice.
We have implemented specific project related risk assessments for our site operations and are following the Construction Leadership Council’s agreed “Site Operating Procedures – Protecting your Workforce” together with the guidance produced by Build UK. This includes measures to ensure personal hygiene standards and social distancing is maintained.
Meanwhile, our activities in business development, pre-construction, design and engineering continue and we are engaging with our clients, architects, customers and partners using phone and video conferencing facilities.
We would like to thank all our people, our customers and suppliers for your enormous efforts in maintaining continuity of our operations during these unprecedented times.
